Converts sociological craft into measurable candid appraisalsAuthenticity The My Kite Will Fly Project offers a brief resource tool in hard copy for clinical health care practitioners working with patients, families and their dependent children in this important but under-researched area of practice in gynaecological oncology. The book form Manual and Guidelines for families and children in Oncology works most effectively in conjunction with the My Kite Will Fly on-line interactive web based program to clearly scope and assess the needs of children and family as key stages of parental cancer management are experienced. The Guidelines and Manual for Practice: Work with families and children in Oncology who have lived through parent illness in Oncology has a different format, and content focus from the multi-disciplinary staff training module titled Guidelines and Manual for Practice: A staff training manual for working with families and children in Oncology. The Manual offers multi-disciplinary oncology practitioners a training vehicle for immediate, timely and medically-informed response with patients and families useful at all stages of multi-disciplinary clinical interventions in Oncology. For children and parents enduring diagnosis, treatments then at times, end stage disease, appropriate and helpful coping strategies naming and commemorating special places, feelings and family members, whilst also offering structured support and reassurance during loss adjustment and bereavement are critical features of our product development model. |
