Privacy Assured: My Kite Will Fly respects your privacy and your personal information

Any information that is provided to the My Kite Will Fly program will remain confidential.

When children are registered to the program they will be asked to nominate their own individual username and password to log into the website. This username and password will be used to identify them and log them into their own personal workspace where they can save their online activities and personalise their e-book. Without the correct log in information, their online information will be unable to be retrieved.

Children can choose to share some or all of the activities that they complete online with the permission of their parents by uploading their work to the online gallery. If their work is uploaded to the public online gallery, the public can only see the information that the children and their parents have chosen to make visible. This means that names and ages can be kept private if they wish.

Children will be able to share their completed e-books with family and friends by providing a private link via email. This link can be used to view the e-book but not to modify it in any way.

Only the website developers and clinicians working directly with the patient's families will have access to all the information provided to the program. This is because the information provided will be necessary to tailor the program to suit the individual needs of each child and determine the appropriate activities to meet those needs
